The Study With Extraordinary News Headlines

News headlines are the most important part of the article and the essence of the news. Readers can only browse headlines to choose interesting ones when they face the vastness of the newspaper information source. Therefore, headlines are the eye of news. Only when the eye is bright and vivid, it will attract readers and news reports are of value. On the contrary, if the title is bland and cannot arise the reader’s interest, better news reports do not make sense. As a result, headlines play a very important role in news reports.In view of linguistic expressions, irregular headlines seem to attract readers. By studying the extraordinary mixture of the language of headlines, this article uses Positive and Negative Deviation Theory and Conceptual Integration Theory to analyse and explain the difficulty of understanding, psychological receiving and aesthetic significance of extraordinary headlines. And then explore the pragmatic effect of extraordinary headlines by specific description of manifestations of headlines and exploration of its causes and constraints.This paper can be divided into five parts:The first chapter is an introduction. Review on the research of extraordinary headlines and making an explanation of extraordinary headlines.The second chapter mainly expounds Positive and Negative Deviation Theory,Conceptual Integration Theory and other basic theories. Meanwhile, this chapter analyses and explains the application of extraordinary headlines.The third chapter analyses the manifestations of the first kind of extraordinary headlines, that is, extraordinary headlines with the original content transformation. This extraordinary headlines consists of the extraordinary mixture of voice, semantic.The forth chapter analyses the manifestations of the second kind of extraordinary headlines, that is, we donot change the contents, but the overall meaning of the combination of irregularities. And this forms the extraordinary headlines. This extraordinary headlines consists of the extraordinary mixture of syntax and writing.The fifth chapter analyses the regulations of extraordinary headlines and sums up to explains its causes and constraints.
