The Design And Realization Of IP Itelligent Maintenance System Based On SNMP And Telnet Protocol

China’s in-depth reform and intensifying competition of telecommunicationsindustry, especially with the large-scale and rapid growth business of IP Network, iturgently requests the mobile operator to speed up the construction of IP Data Networksystem in order to improve the maintenance and management level as well as make surethe deeper development to the mobile data business. And daily inspection for thenetwork equipment is an important part of network management, but at present, ourChinese mobile operator’s daily inspection is still staying at the phase of terminalequipment inspection and just simple monitoring of network equipment and lack ofautomatic comprehensive analysis ability, which greatly affects the efficiency of theenterprise, wastes a lot of manpower. As a mobile operator, for example, IP network isspeeding up with the geometric scale, IP bearing network daily inspection items havegot more than40170projects, especially for the important nodes network devices’changing scheme, system backup, link test and LOG analysis repetitive and tediouswork and the artificial maintenance efficiency is low, also difficult to guaranteeaccuracy.At the same time, our country’s network maintenance and management is mainlybased on the network management system of various manufacturers, such as HPOpenView, IBM NetView, they all already have various affections on many actualconditions. These network management products can be divided into popular type (asOpenView, NetView) and tailored version (as Ciscoworks). The disadvantage of popularnetwork management is the high price and they all needs to secondary development.The tailored version is too specific, confined to a manufacturer or a type of product; it’snot suitable for the hetero generous environment of the current manufacturers. The mostimportant things is that these two types of products cannot be very good to adapt thecurrent domestic network situation and management requirements and it’s very bad forour network construction and development. Therefore, developing the suitable networkmanagement system is imperative.Aiming at above problems, this article designed the automatic inspection system based on SNMP and TELNET protocol. This system is to realize the automation andelectronic of daily inspection maintenance, aimed at as the “complementary automationmaintenance tools” between manufacturers and data network. It has the characteristic ofintelligence, versatility, flexibility and ease of use. Though graphical configuration,graphically leads operators to expand fast configuration templates and equipmentconfiguration changes to realize the comparison of running and launch configure, solvethe problem of modifying configuration without saving and realize the traceability ofthe configuration file ‘s changing history. Moreover, by compared with the difference ofbaseline configuration to guarantee the data compliance; automatic reviewing thesecurity of configuration information to realize the automatic distribution of informationas well as to let the quick recovery of the business for reducing the business interruptionlosses. The realization of these functions has the very important significance to solve thepractical problems of IP network operation.
