| Recently, Cloud Storage as an extension of the Cloud Computing research anddevelopment is the one of the most popular research topic. A large number of differentstorage devices are integrated in the network by Cloud Storage with distributed technology,virtual technology, network technology and other technology, and then provide uniform datastorage and business access interface to the outside world. Distributed File System (DFS) asthe core of the system can provide I/O data flow way to manipulate data, so as to effectivelyimprove the data access speed, high transmission rate, high fault tolerance, easy extension,high reliability etc, can meet the requirement of the data for efficient storage and fastprocessing.With the constant improvement of the information construction level in universities,universities put into a lot of manpower, material and financial resources for informationconstruction, such as campus office system, educational administration system, scientificmanagement system, E-mail system, the WWW service information system. However, thesesystems cannot completely realize the information sharing because of running on differentservers, resulting in information island. Meanwhile, all kinds of information system needs toconfigure a large number of servers, storage, network equipment and other hardwareresources as well as application system constantly upgraded, all this work can not onlyincrease the input costs and management personnel’s workloads, but also cause a largenumber of equipment resources waste.This thesis focus on the research of cloud storage, hopes to provide a general cloudstorage solutions with high application value and strong applicability for some small andmedium-sized universities and/or enterprise, so as to solve the problems of the massive datastorage and management. The following problems have to be faced at the current universities:public resources repeat purchase and low utilization rate, management difficulties; the varietyof data resources, management confusion, unable to share; unable to support large-scale dataanalysis; unable to elastic extension and so on. Main work includes:1) Combined with the characteristics of resources and practical needs of the universitydigital, proposes to create a college campus cloud storage architecture, offers three main service functions: personal cloud storage services, shared data resources services, large-scaledata computing infrastructure services;2) According to the data access characteristics of the campus cloud storage systemapplications, we have a debate and analysis for the reliability of the replica data, and thenprovide a copy placement strategy based on the "hot data". The analysis shows that thismethod can effectively improve the performance of the system load;3) The structure model of the SCool campus cloud storage system are designed, and theSCool campus cloud storage system prototype is implemented based on Hadoop open sourcecloud computing framework. Finally, the function of the SCool campus cloud storage systemis tested and analyzed, and the security, reliability and scalability of the HDFS are also tested. |
