Study On The Development Of Tu Ethnic Minority Health Communication

In today’s world, the competition of comprehensive national power is very prominent and widespread phenomenon, and one of the important contents of the comprehensive national strength competition is the quality of the population competition.Now114million minority ethnic people in China’s is an important part of the population in our country. Due to differences in living environment, economic level and cultural customs, ethnic characteristics of the nation itself created a different physical qualities of different ethnic population. As one of the Chinese ethnic peoples, Tu ethnic minority’s health problems have long been ignored by the society, as a result of its small-sized population, remote settlements and backward mass media development for local health communication, which is not conducive to the ethnic group’s population development.From the perspective of health communication, this thesis will explore the mass media health communication activities’effect on promoting health condition among the backward Tu ethnic minority residents, through investigation on the actual health and mass media health popularization and utilization condition in the Huzhu Tu Autonomous County of northwest China’s Qinghai Province. The thesis will analyse the strengths and weaknesses revealed in local health communication process and try to find a solution strategy to enhance the effect of mass media health communication.
