With the development of the multimedia technology,computer technology, electronic technology and software technology, interactive electronic whiteboard began to grow up. It is a multimedia tool can be used in teaching, meetings, presentations, training and other occasion.Users operate the electronic whiteboard by a special electronic pen. It can easily control basic computer operations such as opening files, drawing, writing and so on. It has the advantage that it no longer constrains users around the computer. Interactive electronic whiteboard system changes the traditional blackboard teaching into electronic teaching, so it has a very broad application prospect in classroom teaching of elementary and middle schools. If it has a network communication function, electronic whiteboard system also can realize the application of the remote education and the network meeting.Our design is an interactive electronic whiteboard system based on electromagnetic induction technology. This system is a multimedia tool, integrating software and hardware technology. It is composed of electromagnetic induction electronic white board, electromagnetic pen, projector with VGA interface, computer systems and other hardware systems and interactive electronic whiteboard application software.Firstly, this paper introduces the background, significance and development of interactive electronic whiteboard.Then it introduces the electromagnetic electronic whiteboard system from hardware aspect. It gives a detail introduction on hardware circuit design, including the signals acquisition module, signals processing module, microcontroller module, communication module and power module.Thirdly, in this paper, it focuses on introducing the localization algorithm of the electromagnetic electronic whiteboard. And it proposes a new precise localization method. And it also makes corresponding improvement of the coiling method in the process of production.In addition, the software system is introduced. It comprises driver software and application software. And in order to testify that the system has a good performance, system performance testing is done.Finally, the paper makes a brief analysis of the electronic whiteboard’s development prospects and direction.
