This study focused primarily on the characteristics of animation propagation by mobilephones. First, characteristics of the mobile comic propagation by mobile phones weretheoretically analyzed. Taking the propagation characteristics of traditional animation asreference, impact of phone mode of transmission on production method of animation art,mode of transmission, the audience, the mode of operation and the propagation effects werebeen pointed out, and thus intelligence, high-speed, interactivity, multimedia and personalizedpropagation was proposed as the basis for the development of mobile comic. The analysis ofthis part of the study provided theoretical support for the later part. Second, analysis onimpact factors and problems in the process of mobile comic diffusion were analyzed.Combined with the development of China’s animation industry and new media reality, thispart investigated the mode of transmission of new media animation, propagationcharacteristics, marketing strategy, influence and acceptance psychology, and focused onanalysis of the existing problems in the spread of China’s mobile phone animation, includingthe absence of mature business profit model, less awareness of mobile phone animation byusers, mobile comic supplier’s unconsciousness of intellectual property protection, thelimitations caused by format, resolution, color, and other technical problems of phones, lessoriginality and so on. This part provided a realistic basis for the later countermeasures. Third,international experiences for mobile phone animation diffusion were analyzed. Takingexperiences mainly from three world animation powerhouse, that is, Japan, the United Statesand South Korea, as a reference, strategies adopted by the three countries in the spread ofmobile phone animation mode and specific effects were especially analyzed. Finally,combining with the theory and reality analyzed above, comparing with what happened indeveloped countries in the field of mobile comic, such as Japan and Korea, it proposedspecific countermeasures to promote the spread of mobile comic and animation industrydevelopment, including strengthening local culture input in mobile phone comic, nurturinganimation brand awareness, consummating phone animation industry chain, improvingproduction technology and original levels, standardizing the mobile comic related laws andregulations and realizing the practical value.
