The article analyses the characteristics of the radar target echo and sea clutter echoand then makes simulation about the echo based on the distributed multiple ship-bornehigh frequency ground wave over-the-horizon radar system, which makes thesimulation more close to reality.Firstly, the paper discusses the distributed target positioning problem ofDMS-HFSWOTHR. We deduces the expressions of the target position coordinate andthe value of target velocity and direction from double ship total distance and double shiptotal velocity information, which based on distributed geometry relationship in thedistributed multiple ship-borne high frequency ground wave over-the-horizon radarsystem.The influence that the ship oscillation has on the target echo is usually discardedwhen simulating the target echo in shipborne HFSWOTHR. In this paper, thecharacteristic of ship oscillation is analyzed, including rolling, pitching and yawing. Themodel of the ship oscillation is set up. The concept of the instantaneous syntheticrotational velocity and angle is introduced and their expressions are deduced.Next, the dynamic geometry relation model of bistatic shipborne HFSWOTHR inthe condition of the ship oscillation is set up and the bistatic synthetic velocity isintroduced.The paper also discusses the signal waveform and information extraction of targetecho. Computer simulation is carried out for radar target echo under different sea states,which shows that the ship oscillation is actually a linear shift of the target echospectrum. The study of this paper will improve the simulation of radar target echo inshipborne HFSWR, which makes the simulation more close to reality.Then, the paper analyzes in detail the characteristics of the first-order sea clutter inthe shipboard high frequency ground wave over-the-horizon radar and expounds thegeneration mechanism of first-order sea clutter in DMS-HFSWOTHR. The articlemakes analysis and simulation in detail on the spectrum broadening question of the firstorder sea clutter respectively from two aspects of the angle of double ship and the shipmovement. Then, the paper discusses the first-order sea clutter spectrum broadeningfactors influence on the layout of the distributed high frequency radar. After that, the article discusses the theory of the sea clutter echo simulation in thedistributed shipboard high frequency radar and gives the steps of the simulation of thesea clutter in detail. Then, the article makes simulation on the sea clutter under thecondition of respectively the ship swing and no swing and makes a comparative analysis.The result of the simulation shows that the influence of the ship swing on the sea clutterecho can be ignored. The article has also make simulation about the sea clutter echofrom the two aspects of short baseline distance and long baseline distance in distributedradar system and then a detailed comparative analysis is also made.Finally, the article also makes a GUI system for the simulation of the echo inDMS-HFSWOTHR. The system integtates the researches about this article and we cansimulate the echos by setting the related parameter. The GUI system providessimulation environment platform for subsequent research work.
