| In modern product design process, with the product structure and Crafts becomemore and more complexity, time for design is become longer and longer. Knowledgethat the desingers use is become more diverse. Thus, the research in management ofdesign knowledge will have an important significance, this article is a reaserch onontology-based product design knowledge management technologies and applications.This article searched how to get the product design knowledge from existingknowledge base, and how to store the knowledge that have been extraceted. Providetools to extract knowledge from database, pictures, handbooks and so on. And thenorganize the product design knowledge into knowledge template for given productdesign process. When the designers come up with duplicate or similar design process,the user can directly call the knowledge template, or through simple modifications, thenallow the computer to automate complete the design process.This article manage the product design knowledge management by ontology. Thisarticle have dealt with extraction of the concept of product design knowledge as well asthe relationship between the concepts, so that users can find the knowledge templatethat they want by find the correct concept firstly.There is a huge number of ontology, and many concepts have been used for lots oftimes. In order to store ontology in a perfect way, this paper uses an method calledadaptive object model, in which way that store the ontology in meta-information. Thispaper researched the adaptive object modeling techniques and builded data tables for theontology storage.This article also researched how to applicate the product design knowledge inthree-dimensional design. We integrate the knowledge management system withCATIA software, and then product designers can use the design knowledge whenworking wtih CATIA.This paper studies how to extract the knowledge of product design and how tomanage the knowledge with ontology, then researched how to use the object modelontology technology to store ontology. At last applied the product design knowledge inthree-dimensional design. |
