With the rapid development of information technology and financial data center,financial data security issue has become serious increasingly and disaster preparednesstechnology has become the key point in keeping financial business continuity and inprotecting against information system risks. How to improve financial informationsystem security, in particular to improve reliability and availability of the system, inorder to guarantee security and timely recovery of business-critical data and system,has become one of the important financial information security topics.This paper focus on the disaster preparedness of financial data, from the datastore, around how to improve the financial information disaster preparedness systemsecurity, designs an effective program of financial data disaster preparedness bystorage virtualization technology, which can achieve the goal of the backup data’simmediacy, completeness and consistency, so as to protect business-critical data in anemergency. The main contents include:(1) Demand analysis of financial information system disaster preparedness. Thispaper discusses principles, grading, measuring indicators and common technicalmethod of disaster preparedness in detail, and analyzes the application of storagevirtualization technology in financial disaster preparedness. With the characteristics offinancial information system, this paper discusses the requirement of the financial dataoffsite disaster preparedness from its necessity, availability and continuity.(2) Asynchronous remote mirror disaster preparedness based on storagevirtualization. Given a method of asynchronous remote mirror disaster preparednesswhich can be used for storage area network based on storage virtualization, thismethod uses SV-ARMM (Asynchronous Remote Mirror Module Based on StorageVirtualization) architecture, which takes logical volume mirror as data storagecontainer, by designing an access control mechanism of logical volume mirror toachieve asynchronous remote mirror disaster preparedness of data storage with the uninterrupted service agreement’s supporting.(3) Application of storage virtualization in the financial data disaster preparedness.Based on storage virtualization, this paper designs an offsite disaster preparednesssystem which combines SV-ARMM and IBM SVC (IBM SAN Volume Controller),from storage resource consolidation, data offsite backup and data encryptionmechanism, and discusses the application technology of this system in detail. And last,this paper gets the verifiable methods and processes of backup data’s validity andconsistency. The result indicates that the storage virtualization disaster preparednesssolution can achieve the timely backup and recovery of data and service effectivelywhen natural disaster and single point of failure emerge, and meets business continuityrequirements better.
