At present, China’s mobile Internet users have reached420million, with therapid development of3G technologies and the rapid popularization of smart phones,People using mobile terminal accessing the Internet have surpassed fixed computers,especially the sudden emergence of those mobile devices based on the Androidplatform. However, due to the language limitations of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang,they can’t use the mobile intelligent terminal and mobile Internet products, there is aneed to develop a multilingual mobile intelligent terminal and related applicationproducts, so the ethnic minorities in Xinjiang can enjoy the convenience brought bycurrent development of mobile Internet technology, bridging the digital divide,promote exchanges and communication between various ethnic groupsThe main work and contributions of this thesis are as follows:1) Analysis on the situation and the problems of Android platform support toUyghur, Kazak, Kirgiz text localization. Taking Uyghur language for example,provides a solution to problems such as Uighur language in text display, characterselection, display direction, input method application, multiple languages mixedediting and resource localization.2) Introduction of the rules of Uyghur letters in connection and the selectionway. And then according to Uyghur language selection way, focused on describingthe basic ideas of selection algorithm and the overall implementation of selectionalgorithm. And combined selection algorithms and the Android platform, Unicodeencoding, made the selection algorithm be implemented on the mobile intelligentterminal. At the same time expanded the Uyghur language selection algorithm toKazakh and Kirgiz languages.3) By making the use and combining the open-source browser with selectionalgorithm, the design and implementation of a kind of browser software for localUyghur, Kazakh languages is proposed. The browser function and design are described.4) The product had been run and tested in a number of mobile phone modelsand android versions. The results showed that the product can be normally browsingUyghur language websites in all mobile phone models, at the same time nodistortion and selecting characters correctly. The product has been recognized bythe majority of ethnic minority compatriots after it is available.
