| With the swift development of our national economy,the explosive development ofbroadband multimedia applications,the decrease of the usage cost of communication satelliteand frequency of coping with various national emergency, satellite communication’sadvantages of rapid deployment, without geographical restrictions and suitab le for emergencymobile use compared to terrestrial communication become more and moreprominent,therefore satellite communication has entered a stable development periodagain,application and service requirements of satellite communication system have becomehigher and higher also.The network resources’s characteristics of high cost and relativelimitation,especially limited bandwidth resources have become a bottleneck problem ofrestricting the development of satellite communication network.So the bandwidthoptimization has direct effect on the performance of the whole satellite network.Depending on research of VSAT satellite communication system’s infrastructure,thispaper discusses signaling distribution processing system and demand assignment linkingmechanism deeply,completes the design of network architecture and signalingsystem,completes linking and chains separation between VSAT stations as well as thebandwidth allocation,in order to combine application needs for higher bandwidth availableand increase bandwidth optimization and combination,a bandwidth scheduling algorithmbased on maximum idle bandwidth combining is proposed,according to different triggeringtime and conditions,it is divided into active and passive schedule,when network managementsystem issued chains separation command we execute active scheduling algorithm,when theresidual bandwidth can not meet required bandwidth for small station’s connection attempt weexecute passive scheduling algorithm,and they are simulated by the OPNET special simulation software. Simulation results show that the network throughput after executingscheduling algorithm is improved. |
