General Simulation&Test Platform(HIT-GPTA) is an independent development ofHIT, with significant advantages of reusability, convenient interactions and combinationsbetween resources, rapid plug-in of virtual/semi-object/object resources, fast constructionof simulation of specific tasks. However, constrainted by the consideration of theconvenience of integrating and reusing resources, which is realized by selectingWindows plus Ethernet as the design model, HIT-GPTA is limited in occations with strictreal-time requirement. Therefore, to enhace the simulation practicability of HIT-GPTA,which needs a better realtiming capacity, this paper mainly focus on this subject,i.e., toexplore and improive the real-time ability of HIT-GPTA.With an analysis of the working mechanism of HIT-GPTA, three major factors thatconstraint the real-time ability of HIT-GPTA are as followed: real-time data transmissionbetween distributed nodes; real-time plug-in of semi-object/object devices; real-timeoperations of object model of platform components. This paper is developed after acomprehensive analyasis and justification of these three restrictive issues, and as wellproposes improvement plans, respectively.With an establishment of reflective memory net, along with a design of driverprograms of physical devices in real-time operating systems, this paper provides variousdata transmission channels, including reflective memory net, physical bus, and ethernet,ensuring the real-time data transmission between distributed nodes and real-time plug-inof object devices, and also provides fundamental hardware to enure the improvement ofgeneral simulation platform.A model consisted of RTX and Windows is employed, to maintain the advantages ofreusability,convenient interactions and combinations between resources, andcompatibility of simulation function of former platform. The combination is realizedthrough a designed subsystem, which can construct a real-time simulation sytem rapidly.In the subsystem, a more strict realtiming data transmissio n interface and operatingalgorithm is realized in RTX, while the displying and configuration with less strctrealtime requirement is operated in Windows. This division improves the operatingrealtime ability of object model of platform components.Therefore, a simulation system can be rapidly established with the usage of HIT-GPTA and the improvement stated in this paper. After testing of each componentswhich consist the whole system, the results shows that improved components can meetthe requriement while completing corresponding simulation tasks, and the simulationstep achieved1ms. The research of this paper vastly improved the general realtimeability of the HIT-GPTA platform, and now the platform can accomplish some of therealtime simulation.
