With the developments of society, the food industry has changed dramatically,but, so many food safely accidents occur frequently in recent years due to theextensive development of the field of food industry and the backwardness of thesupervision and management. Society’s high attention highlight the existingtraditional way of supervision can not meet the requirements of the publicincreasingly and the key to solve the problem is to build an efficient, open, convenientand widespread participation by different sectors of food safety supervision andmanagement system. This paper takes geographic information system applied to theFood Safety field and combines with Web technology design and implementation theFood Safety Supervision Management System (FSMS) of NanChang. Improve theefficiency of supervision and management.it certain referential significance toexplore the changing in the pattern of food safety supervision and management.In this paper, through Internet client browser shows intuitive, simple andconvenient to users about food safety data by the pictures, graphics and images,Compared to the traditional GIS system,Using WebGIS technology to mobilize a widerange of users to participate in the supervision of food safety, Having benefit forsupervising the food production enterprise, catering industry, practitioners and takingthe general public on food safety education, supervision and management, improvingthe quality of supervision and law enforcement efficiency by government supervisiondepartment, reducing the food safety accidents and so on. Do the main works in thispaper includes:(1) Introduces the system development background and food safety regulation,WebGIS technology researchs status at home and abroad, proposed solutions aboutbased the WebGIS food safety supervision and management.(2) Introduction of WebGIS technology to food safety supervision, solved thetraditional single way of supervision and management, a complex interoperable andboring user experience.(3) Introduces the requirement analysis of system development, the top-leveldesigns of the system and each function module designs and database data tablesdesign in detail. Encapsulation the center data by using the Webservice technology, Itmakes the data layer and presentation layer looks relatively independent, it is easy to maintain and improve system later and solve the problem about data transfer betweensystem and system.(4) Introduced the realization process of system at all levels, specific analysis ofthe typical code, configuration file processing, etc. and also has carried on the systemfunction test, the result shows the system works well. Finally, the system aresummarized and the development of a follow-up to complete the goal of the system.
