Voice over Internet Protocol(VoIP) which makes use of the Internet to achievereal-time voice communication provides people with low-cost communications tariffs andquick means of communication, in the meantime it also constantly experiencingincreasingly prominent security threats and security risks impact.Based on the security threats a VoIP system may be subjected to, make an analysis ofthe existing communication security solutions used to protect the system. As the VoIPsystem directly transmits communication packets on open IP network and the lack ofcorresponding security protection mechanism, leads to a variety of security threats andpitfalls faced in the communication process. After comprehensive analysis and comparison,the design idea of VoIPSec is brought up, which transmits communication data packetsover IPSec secure channel. VoIPSec establishes a secure IPSec Virtual PrivateNetwork(VPN) tunnel between the client and the IPSec security gateway in advance as adata transmission channel, thereafter interactive voice data packets and protocol datapackets between them are transmitted through this channel; Because the IPSec tunnel is asecure channel to provide the secure and confidential communication on the IP network,the communication process so is able to enjoy the protection of the channel data reliability,integrity, replay, authentication and other security features. At last basing on VoIPSecthought to give an overall design of system and detail function modules partition of theclient, and on this basis finished an implementation on Android system platform.Results of safety tests conducted by the system shows that: VoIPSec system isoperating normally to provides good voice quality, and all transmitted data packets areencapsulated through IPSec to ensure the security of the communication process.
