With the rapid development of industrial,the pollution of composite insulator intransmission lines is increasing serious.In serious pollution area,it is prone to pollutionflashover,which seriously affect the safety and reliability of the power supply system.Operating conditions of composite insulator in transmission lines related to the securityand stability of the entire grid. To solve these problems,the paper in-depth study onlinemonitoring system of image and temperature and humidity of composite insulator.According to the overall design scheme of this article,it elaborate selection of theembedded operating system and key devices. After selecting operating system andcritical components,this paper gives an overall block diagram of the hardware design.Including: The schematic diagram of acquisition of temperature and humidity withSTC52microcontroller, Images collected schematics with OK6410,The connection ofARM11and STC52microcontroller serial. In view of this, the system uses alightweight ARM Embedded System for the collection of the composite insulatorimages and the environmental temperature and humidity,they are transferred to theexpert diagnostic system of PC background. The paper deep analyze Qt,completeARM-based embedded image acquisition and transmission with Qt programming,thenbe transplanted to ARM development board. Wireless transmission use3G wirelesstechnology,not only faster than the original on transmission speed,but also goodcompatibility with second-generation wireless technology.PC expert diagnostic system of the background mainly carries on image processingof composite insulator to extract various feature codes to estimate the hydrophobic ofcomposite insulator. The most important is the image segmentation in extractingvarious feature codes of hydrophobic of composite insulator. This paper uses imagesegmentation of genetic algorithms,compared with the traditional image segmentationtechniques,The image segmentation technology,so that the foreground color the dropswith background color the composite insulator color difference is more pronounced.Easier to extract various feature codes of hydrophobic of composite insulator,betterdivide hydrophobic level of composite insulator.The theoretical analysis and actual data show that online monitoring system of thecomposite insulator is able to accurately forecast the level of composite insulator filthy.The system can solve misinformation and omission of running state of compositeinsulator compared to the previous line monitoring device,really achieve purpose fromscheduled maintenance to condition-based maintenance.
