The Design And Implementation Of English Speaking And Listening Practice Test System For The Junior High School

With the rapid development of computer science, internet and campus network, different types of English proficiency test are widely based on the computer science. Experts from abroad are using computer system to grade students pronunciation in the oral performance. In China, exploration of English test system based on network is also under the way. Listening and speking are indispensible and important in obtaing language information or language sense in the course of teaching. In regard to junior middle school English teaching, listening is always put in the first place with much proportions in the test. Therefore listening teaching and practice become more and more impotant.A new form of man-machine dialogue has been put into application in the automatic listening and speaking performace in the entrance examination for junior middle school. The previous practice test system had its defects that could not reflect the real performance of students test and it was hard for teachers to use because of the seperation between testing and grading. Based on the market investigation, most practice test systems belong to the recording instumental system which is just used for knowing test process instead of reaching performance. This greatly reduces the system ability to evaluate students level and to direct teaching purposefully. The improvement of technology for such system should be developed more though a certain software has fuctioned well.The essay has added subsystem for the English listening and speaking practice test before examination by integrating nonintegrated pracice test system and performance managemnet system. The complete practice test system covering all the tests in their preparation, process and result. The system has its fuctions of automatic grading and analysing by adopting C/S mode which is simple. Each mode is using WFP and is delicate on the UI. Statistics is implemented by inserting exploror and opening server through Ajax,JSON data exchange and JavaScript Highcharts. And the function is excellent by having main current explorers. Storage of data is performed from the lightweight SQLite database which is convenient and flexiable. Evaluation is done by means of integration engine.First, the essay introduces the background and reserch status to the English listening and speaking practice test system as well as brief technology.Second, the essay has analyzed the system in a feasiable way that covers three phases before, during and after test. And an illustation of this system for secondary middle school has been done. After system analysis, an intruduction to nonfunction is also given.The essay has described the general framework, performance management framework and arrangement framework on the system design from different levels and demonstrated database, Web design and App connectors. In addition, illustations have been emphasized on the system implemention and test operation as well as system main interface mode, practice test mode, paper evaluation mode and test operation.Finally, the essay generally sums up the practical effect in the part of conclusion and dicusses some issues that will be improved.To sum up, the essay is aimed at designing a practice test system which is automatic to evaluate performance and analze statistics of listening and speaking in the secondary middle school test based on the previous technological defects.
