Recently, with the development of industry, a variety of electronic products thatresearched and developed(R&D) by enterprises spring into market to meet thedifferent demands of the consumers, such developing speed show a strong R&Dcapability of enterprises. As one of the most important foundry enterprise inconsumer electronics supply chain, Innolux Display Group actively promotes its ownvertical integration in order to provide more agile, flexible service to customers.Innolux Display Group also makes effort to optimize the product developing processat the same time, to meet the mass and diversified product demand of the customers.Light guide plate is one of the key components in a liquid crystal display. It isunable to meet customers’ needs in current framework of development process,because the urgent development cycle of customer’s requirements. Therefore, afterthe consultation by the relevant departments, the NPI department decides to improvethe existing development process, so as to meet the requirement of the customers.Some problems have been ruled out, such as personnel arrangements, machine,material, work method and work environment, by using the method of study andergonomics in the process of improvement, make the process more compact andefficient.The paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter one is introduction. It introduces the definition and general process ofproduct development, and the background and significance of the light guide plate A.introduces some methods used in the improvement of the product developing process at the same time.Chapter two introduces the current situation of product developing process,analyzes and checks out the key links of product developing process.Chapter three analyzes the problems and makes the improved productdevelopment process.Chapter four works following the plan of new process and supervises the works,also judges the new process whether has achieved the anticipated target or notIn this paper, the product development tasks of Light guide plate A has beencompleted related to the new process and the new process also meet the developmentcycle of the customer’s requirement. Light guide plate has been producedcontinuously and steady for three months, and it can meet customers’110K capacityrequirements in one month.
