Research And Application Of Classroom Teaching Assessment System In Primary And Middle School

Since education has been focused and concerned constantly in the current society,teachers in primary and middle school have heavy task of classroom teaching becauseof the limitation of45minutes for one class. Teachers must spend plenty of energies tocorrect and summarize students’ homework, which restricted them to reform theclassroom teaching and improve the teaching method. Due to the lack of effective andscientific assessment system, the old manual assessment will be used, such as rankingand score comparison. These are not only inefficient and but also will lead teachers tomake simple and one-sided assessment to students. The above two problems have beenstudied and discussed in this paper, and the online assessment system has beendeveloped and used to solve the problems. This system mainly includes onlineassessment and automatic assessment based on B/S structure. C#language has beenused as development language; VisualStudio2005has been used as developmentplatform; SQL2005has been used as data base. There are four modules of this system–basic information system module, question bank module, test module and assessmentmodule. The question bank module has configured the coefficient of difficulty based onTST and CTT in order to make the difficulty distribution reasonable and scientific andto make the composition of the coefficient of difficulty of the test paper better reflect thedemand of differentiated instruction. The scientific assessment system with theindicators of deviation from average rate, increase rate and standard deviation has beenintroduced in assessment module in order to get rid of the system which are using scoresand ranking as the standard, to change the teachers’ and students’ mentality of keepingup with others, to let teachers and students focus on individual development, and toimprove the personal abilities. Teachers can get free from traditional manual test papercheck, and will have extra time to study and develop the teaching materials in order toimprove their teaching level. This system has the function of scientific assessment,which makes teachers assess the students more reasonably. Teachers can know andgrasp the study status of each student entirely and objectively. Meanwhile, the selfassessment of this system will help students to improve themselves.
