Loongson series CPU is based on MIPS architecture which is self-designed by ICT of CAS. The Loongson1CPU successfully developed in2002, Then Loongson2B, Loongson2C, Loongson2E, Loongson2F, Loongson3A etc CPU products have been developed in recent years. Jiangsu Lemote Technology Co.,Ltd is the industrialization base of Loongson products. Until now, Lemote had developed Fuloong, Yeeloong and Lynloong of several major series of products, and based on these products, Lemote has successfully designed a number of solutions, such as rural information solutions, information of education solutions, etc.U-Boot (Universal Bootloader) is an firmware used in Embedded system which is gradually evolves from8xxROM、PPCBoot、ARMBoot projects. Its development follows the GPL protocol, the source code open for all the users. U-Boot is available for a number of different computer architectures, including PPC, ARM, MIPS, x86,68k and MicroBlaze. It is wildly used in embedded system development area.This article by studying the characteristic of U-Boot system combination of Loongson product features, proposed the program that porting U-Boot system as firmware to the Loongson platform, this article analyzed the structure characteristics and starting process of U-Boot system, the initialization related instruction set of Loongson-2F CPU, the motherboard structure and related devices of Yeeloong8089notebook, the system port method, discussed the development platform and application technology, described the system performance index, functional characteristics and operating environment. And through running the testing examples show that the scheme is correct and effective.
