Structure And Parameter Optimization Of The Giant Magnetostrictive Driven Jetting Dispenser

The independent researched and development giant magnetostrictive jet dispensing valve can be applied for low viscosity glue jet dispensing.But for high viscosity glue,such as phosphor paste and silicone which is widely used in LED microelectronic packaging,it failed.Therefore, in order to improve the dispensing performance of the injection valve to achieve industrial applications, it was necessary to analyze the impact of the factors on the dynamic characteristics of the injection valve and optimize and improve the body and the key components.In this paper, the principle of giant magnetostrictiveactuator dispensing valve was introuduced firstly. Then a mechanical model of the injection valve was established to analyze how the preload force influence on the flexible hinge. The process of the needle response was divided into ascent prosess and descent prosess,and differential equations of the its movements were listed separately.And then Flexible hinge was splited into flexible hinge structure and bar section, and optimizing the flexible hinge structure and taking a series size values of bar doing mechanical calculation for comparisonto to find a set of optimal parameters.At the same time, this paper analyzed the glue viscosity, the spring pre-load force, the mass of the needle and viscous damping influenced on the parameters of the injection valve,and compared the parameters between the optimized injection valve with the not optimized injection valve. The GMM rod’s thermal deformation impacted the operation of the system of the injection vale was also analyzed.Finally, some dispensing experimentare was made and the results show that the pre-pressure and viscous damping have a great influence on the injection valve parameters. Optimized and improved injection valve has a great improvement in the dispensing performance.
