In recent years, there are more and more old people in China. Our country is stepping into an aging society and put forward higher request for the elderly health. This paper aims to design an old monitoring and tracking portable terminal, able to take advantage of the key technology of Internet of things to realize fall down and heart rate abnormal judgment, GPS tracking, emergency SMS notification families and to the alarm monitoring center. Main research as follows:1. Design the whole framework of the portable terminal, including the selection of hardware part and software driver design. Account of the old man’s bear ability and mobile monitoring, sensors and wireless communication module meet the small volume, convenient carrying, low power consumption, accurate measurement of characteristics in this paper. In implementing health care at the same time reducing the pressure of the elderly.2. This paper uses the triaxial accelerometer based on the technology of EMES to realize fall detection, analysis changes that fall in the process of human body posture and acceleration curve, design a threshold detection algorithm using the sensor internal interrupt.This method reduces the algorithm complexity and reduces the pressure of the microprocessor processing complex data, improves the speed of the data analysis and transmission, In heart rate detection unit adopts the integration heart rate sensor, design preamplifier circuit and the rear filter amplifier circuit of the micro active electrode.Threshold judgment method of the heart rate abnormal judgment is proposed by analyzing and statisticing R_R. period in ECG signal.3. In this paper, design of the portable terminal used Android operating system for terminal equipment’s, analysis of the Android kernel structure, complete the Android transplantation on the embedded platform, design driver in Android for acceleration sensor, GPS module,3G module of data communication and identification.Finally through the design of the portable terminal, test and analysis the old man fall down, the data transmission and SMS notification, and test data and interface of system implementation are given. In short, the old monitoring and tracking based on Internet of things aims to solve the old man fall down detection, the heart rate detection, location tracking and SMS notification. Win the rescue time for the accident of the old man and at the same time, also provide the important basis for the old man of daily health care, solve the concerns are caused by children cannot accompany for a long time.
