| With the constantly changing computer and internet technology, Video on Demand (VOD) technology is favored by the industry of education and entertainment for its better human-computer interaction and streaming media transmission technology. Internet-based VOD system is a kind of unicast-based interactive system, which can provide convenient and independent interactive function.This thesis sets forth the basic idea of VOD system designing and comes up with a designing plan for Campus-based VOD system and Mass storage under current campus network condition. The plan in general adopts B/S model. This system is a small system with the data base adopting SQL Server2000, which made it easy to be realized and maintained. In the process of its realization, the technology of IIS, ASP.NET and JavaScript was perfectly combined, seeking a beautiful interface and smooth operation. The system is neat, convenient and beautiful, which made it easy for users to operate the system even without instructions. The system also provides multiple search function, which made it convenient for users to find video they want and watch these videos whenever and wherever they want to. |
