With the rapid progress of China Aerospace, the tasks of spacecraft extend from remote sensing, communication to deep space exploration, space rendezvous and docking. In addition, satellite developing is changing from custom made to batch products. These changes make the conventional satellite testing environment nolonger available in either test capability, developing efficiency, developing cycle, overusing. As a result, via developing a common and automatic test environment to improve test capacity as well as developing ability is very important.In this paper, the commonlization of satellite test environment is analyzed, and based on which, the test case description and automatic testing is under researching, the test environment designing is also unfolded.In the aspect of common satellite test platform, taking example by the advanced experiences in both inland and foreign countries, a multiple layers module is proposed. High converged functions are realized within each layer, which leads to more independent between each layer; inattentive data transmission is achieved between each layer, which forms a more standard data transmission.In the aspect of automatic testing, test case description methods and automatic execution approach are presented. A natural language based test case description method, which is suitable for aerospace testing, is designed. In addition, the proposed test case can be understood and run under the proposed automatic testing system. The automatic testing system involves sequenced testing and event triggered testing, test result can be determined and test report can be generated.A common test platform instance is proposed in this paper, the condition of practical usage is elaborated, and comparison between the proposed platform with other platforms is also given.
