| With the further study of fluid mechanics, people want to get more quantitative information of the whole fluid. Because of the rapid development of the computer technology, image processing and optical technology, particle image velocimetry (PIV) technology has gradually developed. Due to the PIV technology can quantitatively obtain the information of the whole flow field, and will not produce interference for the fluid, it has received the widespread attention.Through the systematic study of the PIV technology, we proposed a cross-correlation algorithm that based on fast Fourier transform. The system uses the S3C6410embedded processor to implement PIV technology. The project has low cost, low power consumption, small size and other characteristics. Firstly, the paper introduces the research status of PIV technology at home and abroad; and discusses the structure and working principle of PIV systems; then we discuss the impact of particle image preprocessing, diagnostic window selection and measurement algorithm to the result of calculation. Secondly, the paper builds a Linux operating system for embedded platform, develops TVP5150video capture module drivers and ports OpenCV for the ARM platform. Finally we achieve the cross-correlation algorithm in software, calculate the cross-correlation plane peak. The experimental results show that the design is feasible, with good practical value. |
