Video monitoring technology plays a very important role in the security field. With the development of society, the traditional video monitoring has been unable to meet the market demand. As one of the most frontier application models, intelligent video surveillance system has many advantages, such as short response time, outstanding motivation, high reliability, wide usage and so on, therefore the research is of great significance. Through analyzing and researching the basic principles of video monitoring, HD video data acquisition and processing, moving object tracking technology, this thesis designs and implements a HD and intelligent monitoring system based on TMS320DM368platform, which improves the monitoring effect from both aspects of image resolution and actual usage.The system hardware design is accomplished, which includes DM368platform, MT9P031image sensor and PTS-301Q pan-tilt. The thesis surveys the characteristics of DM368, the basic principles of the MT9P031sensor to capture video, the video acquisition method of V4L2driver in Linux, H.264video codec algorithm and network transmission protocol TCP/IP. Then HD video network transmission is realized by programming. On this basis, this thesis researches on moving object tracking algorithms. Firstly, three-frame difference method is used to detect moving targets. Second, this thesis proposes an improved Camshift algorithm to realize target tracking. Three improved methods are applied to Camshift algorithm:the thesis focuses on to calculate the backprojection in the local background; by computing the color similarity coefficient, when the coefficient is greater than the threshold, the H-S two-dimensional histogram is used to generate backprojection; when the target is obscured or suddenly disappeared, Kalman filter is used to predict target motion state. Finally, a simple and effective PTZ control algorithm is proposed, which can keep the target is constantly located in the monitor center.The experimental results indicate this system is able to support the resolution of1280x720video transmission, and can realize accurate target tracking. The monitoring efficiency is enhanced.
