| The audio and video coding technology has palyed an important role in the storage and propagation of the information and a trend of multiple standard, low power consumption and low cost has been observed. The key modules in it can greatly decide the performance of the system, so the design of audio/video coding algorithm and circuit in digital ICs porves to be very important.This paper firstly analyzes the current sulution of the audio and video coding:the solution based on the communication processor or DSP and the one based on ASIC. According to the analysis, the paper propose design of multi-standard, hardware-based audio decoding modules and H.264coding modules and choose the key modules in the audio and video coding/decoding; then optimization is made to these modules; in the end of the paper, the corresponding test and verification is made.The innovativeness of the paper is as follows:1) In design of multi-standard Huffman decoding module, the substep looking-up table method is introduced. A new dividion of the step is made according to the statistics and experiments and the corresponding hardware structure is proposed; in the dequantization module, a through analysis on system error is made and a modified factor is introduced, resulting in a improvement in SNR without the multiplication.2) In design of multi-standard IMDCT module, DCT-â…¡ fast algorithm is introduced. Extended derivation is made to support the calculation with points of non-integer power of2and a hardware calculation structure is also porposed.3) The integer DCT is introduced to replace the real number DCT. The process is divieded to speed up the hardware calculation. Meanwhile, the optimiazed coding tables are put into the modules in the design of energy coding and quantization.Besides, a multi-media system is designed including the porposed modules. Simulation and verification are made and the resuls have shown the improvements of the system in media storage and coding/decoding. |
