RFID is a technology that achieves two-way transmission of data through RF signal.This has been widely applied in many fields, such as Logistics, industrial production andsales, entrance guard and traffic management. Therefore, the research and application ofRFID has important theoretical and practical significance.In order to achieve read and write for the I·CODE2tag. A high-performance,low-Power RFID reader was designed based on AT89S51and RF chip RI-R6C-001A.First the paper introduces some knowledge, such as foundations of physics about RFID,the principle, composed and Category of the RFID system. Then researched analyze andabout the protocol of ISO15693. Mainly done the following work for the design of thereader:(1)In order to achieve the transfer with the host computer, and perform theappropriate instructions. MCU AT89S51, Produced by the Corporation of ATMEL, isused as the control chip of the reader. To achieve the purpose of the transmission with thehost computer, and executes the corresponding instruction.(2)Using the RF chip RI-R6C-001A as the core of the reader. Based onshort-distance identification, design of the circuit of power amplifying and RF receiver toachieve long-distance recognition. Using power amplifier C, it was able to amplify theoutput RF signal. The match circuits were used to match the input circuits and outputcircuits, to achieve the high stability of the RF power amplifier. A diode detector circuitand a subcarrier amplifier circuit were designed for the RF receiver circuit. It implementsthe processing of the received signal.(3)Using chip CP2102produced by Silicon Laboratories Inc. To achieve theconversion of UART-USB serial port. The USB interface can be more convenient andefficient realize data communication with the host computer. And in order to achieve thefunction of wireless transmission, designed a Bluetooth module for wirelesscommunication.(4)The antenna is an important part of the reader,It can not only transfer the data,but also provide power to the electronic tag. This paper designed a loop antenna for thereader, and an impedance matching network designed for the antenna. Then achieve thefunction of receive and transmit signals with a single-antenna.After preliminary experiments, the design of the reader not only can be achieved thepurpose of quickly and accurately the identification tag, but also can be safe and securework.
