The Design And Development Of The Construction Cost Management Information System

With the all-round development of information technology and and the continuous deepening of the computer science, the requirements of information in various fields are also increasing. Especially our country is in a stage of rapid development, thus information technology is playing a pivotal role. The number of large-scale construction projects is rapidly increasing both domestic and worldwide, so the construction management systems are in short supply. Thus, the information technology that used in specific day-to-day affairs and project management has become the most important issues of many construction companies. Construction projects include some major aspects, such as power and equipment management, human resources management, fixed budget for the project and the construction budget and so on. In the past, these major tasks were achieved manually by the staff, thus the tedious work was easy to produce man-made errors, and cause serious losses to the enterprises. In the Consideration of the situations above, we found that the development of information systems appears to be particularly important to those construction companies.The main content of this project is the design and implementation of the Construction Cost Management Information System, which is the core module of project management platform. The Construction Cost Management Information System Includes project (sub project) management, project budget based on quotas, automated information statistics, etc. Specifically, this system will include project funds management, which calculating the costs for engineering tasks, establishing the cost plans for individual projects, collecting and recording the actual data, computing the actual costs.The full text is divided into five chapters. Chapter I is the Introduction, mainly on the development of the system background. Chapter II is the development of system requirements analysis, mainly on the overall concept of the project cost management information system, the main objectives, and the system’s main demand; In Chapter III, firstly the architecture design of the project cost management information system is reported, which includes the analysis of the function of the system structure and technical architecture. Then the detailed design of the system is proposed, including system process design, the core database design, etc. fourth chapter describes the system implementation and testing.
