| Regional development strategy refers to the crucial and decisive plan after the analysisand judgment of overall regional development. Good region image can improve theinvestment surroundings, attract foreign resources and improve the development of regionaleconomy. Economic development is the core of regional development. Therefore, regionimage design is crucial to regional development. Region image design is the most importantpart of the practice of region image, which determines the success of the practice of regionimage. Taking present situation into consideration, the theory of region image design needsperfection and formation of principles and methods of systematic and practical image design. This paper first illustrates the fact that city exists as the node of regional systematicstructure. Further investigation is carried out since cities have absolute dominance in regionaldevelopment. The theory of holism of Gestalt psychology is introduced to city imagetransmission. Butterfly effect exists in city image transmission, which not only spreadsthroughout the city image system, but also extends to region image design system. Thispaper explores the rules of image transmission in regional development and comes up withthe ways to activate the butterfly effect as well. The butterfly effect of image transmission in regional development has strong drivingforces and practical significance on the development of every aspect of the region. Eachregion has its own characteristics. There are big differences in each region’s basic condition, but butterfly effect exists in any region image system. Recognizing the underlying forces ofbutterfly effect, analyzing the evolution process of underlying forces and predicting theresults of future development can help us make good use of the existing resources in regionimage design, make rational investment and gain substantial benefit with low input costs byrelying on the strong driving force of the butterfly effect. The butterfly effect of imagetransmission in regional development has theoretical enlightenment and practical value on ourcountry’s regional development strategy. |
