Along with the prosperity of the economic and the improvement of the people’s livingstandards, the living condition improves greatly. The house area continues to increase, thehousing structure is more reasonable and the housing facilities are saner. In this condition,besides the basic function of living, the good interior decoration can improve the quality ofliving and it becomes the important factor for meeting the requirement of people. Due to therestrict of the specialty, most of the persons are not familiar with decoration, so the commonway is to hire the professional decoration company to decorate the rooms. However, it alwayshappens that that the requirements are not clear or the expression is fuzzy, the decorationcompanies cannot reach a satisfactory outcome. Therefore, in the paper, we will design andimplement the novel online decoration system based on the three dimensional sense. In thesystem, the users can design and update the decorations by themselves, and output the finaleffect drawing. The interior decoration contains not only the design of pattern, color and style,but also the consideration of furniture and home appliances. To reflect the real environment,the paper adopts the technology of virtual reality to show the real environment in thecomputer virtual environment.By the technology of virtual reality, the paper studies the theory of3D modeling andgives the applications in the area of indoor decoration system. According to the achievementsand shortages, the goal of the paper is to implement a simple and comprehensive indoordecoration system which focuses on the nonprofessional users. There are two kinds of users inthe system, the normal users and the administrator. When the normal users log in the system,the options of creating, painting, loading, modeling and saving can be executed to generatethe final3D sense. The administrator is in charge of maintaining the system data, such as theusers, models and external files. Utilizing the specific view interface, the administrator canadd external3D models in the system to keep the novelty of the system. According to the designed functions, combing the database of SQL Server, the serversoftware of Tomcat, the system is implemented by the Java language and the Java3D opensource engine. The code is written by the MVC model which divides the view and businesslogic into two different layers. The MVC model helps to extent the functions in the future. Inthe3D sense, the decoration effect is clearer. Meanwhile, the system supports the userinteractions with the3D sense. For example, the users can zoom, rotate or move the sense toobserve the decoration effect. By the system, the communication problem between the usersand designers is solved and save the cost. So the system is significant for the nonprofessionalusers.At last, the performance is tested. The results prove that the proposed decoration systemis simple and stable and can meet the people’s decoration requirements.
