Nowadays, many problems exist in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) industry, such asfierce competition among enterprises, slower growth of market demands, higherenvironmental requirements, rising labor and raw material cost. For the purpose ofimproving survival abilities of PCB enterprises, by the means of continuoustechnological innovation, PCB enterprises achieve their products’ differentiation; on theother hand, they establish advanced information management system to achieve therationalization of production cost and production cycle, and then optimize allocation ofcorporate resources and reduce production cost,furthermore, to achieve higher economicbenefits. As the planning system of enterprise engineering unit, engineering planningsystem of PCB industry can effectively achieve unified management of engineeringproduction and maximize resource utilization. At the same time, it can timely andefficiently manages the order progress, then constantly meets the needs of market andproduction to enhance the efficiency of engineering design.This paper deeply researches and analyzes the development of informationmanagement system in PCB enterprises. Based on the actual demands of PCBenterprises, the framework of PCB engineering plan system is constructed via C/Ssoftware structure together with the work flow of PCB engineering department. Thenew engineering planning system is mainly divided into four components, that is,parameter-setting component, personalized component, system-logging component, andengineering-data-making component, in which engineering-data-making component isthe core component of the whole system after analyzing and drawing all the fourcomponents’ module functions and data flow diagram. Engineering-data-makingcomponent is mainly consisted of five sub-modules: basic information module, MImanagement module, CAM module, film management module and QAE film module.Based on the three layers of C/S software structure, this paper also researches therealization of front-desk interface, transference of the thread model of middlecomponent and development of the underlying database by using Visual Studio2005,C#and SQL SERVER2005. Meanwhile, it also analyzes the rules about front clientsaccessing to the database. Because of the complexity of engineering systems, this paperonly shows several parts of the key modules’ front interface and program code. The implementation of the engineering system software solves the deficiency ofrelevant management software in PCB industry, including high dynamic of industryneeds, high cost of development and implementation, high difficulties of maintenanceand upgrading. The establishment of a stable engineering management system helpsenterprises to establish an order-centric, fluent and efficient workflow, clears theresponsibilities and authorities of each department and the cooperate relationshipsbetween departments, optimizes the existing management, effectively guides theinformation construction and modern management of PCB enterprises. In addition, thissystem is well with the characteristics of openness, integrity and environmentaladaptability.
