Office Automation (short for OA) is an important area of the computer applicationand has played very important role in Government agencies, enterprise and publicinstitutions. Recently, the OA has been widely developed and applied. The emergenceof OA accelerates information exchange and makes the usage of resources morecomplete. Also, OA can help to cut unnecessary resources waste: such as the waste ofpaper, human resources and time. Sharing information, modifying a file jointly,organizing web conference, etc. can be achieved in the OA system. The designed OA system is mainlycomprised by: information broadcast, file management, conference arrangement, agendamanagement, contacts management, e-mail, record management, personnel filesmanagement, payment management, teaching affair administration, assetsadministration, and system management. Every sub-module can be divided in toproscenium and background, so can be variously operated. In proscenium, we canbasically read, right and operate personally while in background, an administrator candelete, modify or enumerate the data which comes from the proscenium. Our crew canlog in the system, and base their own limits of authority to use the system.This essay put the design and realization of Our OA system in details. This systemis based on browser/server3-tier architecture pattern and use ASP.NET+C#; thebackground use SQL SERVER2005database platform. Also, to realize the databasemanagement, ADO.NET database visit technology is used so the Web Server can bringthe elemental and administrative function. In the designing process, we first assimilateother corporate OA system to get an archetype, and, based on that, we improve thesystem after analyze our actual needs. In the design stage to write with constant revision,through continuous use and repeated debug, and finally completed the meet theexpected requirements of the system. At present the system has been realized and used in the school, and the practiceproves that the office automation system operation, can improve school office workefficiency.
