The paper researches on the automatic monitoring and control system for a uraniummill. Based on the analysis of uranium hydrometallurgical refining process and itsindustrial environment, the paper investigates the automation control system of uraniummill, the production process and characteristics of a detailed analysis of the water. Thereare some shortcomings in automatic control systems such as low working efficiency of theautomated system, extremely complex need line, low automatic monitoring systemstability. in addition, because of the complexity of the circuit and the hardware, whichmakes the automatic monitoring system installation cost a lot, but repair is not easy, tosolve these problems and optimize the system,the paper puts forward the research anddesign of automatic monitoring system based on the process field bus (PROFIBUS), inthe analysis of the industrial characteristics and field environment of five process of theuranium hydrometallurgy process (Soak-Adsorb-Drip washing-Transformation-Deposit).Starting from the actual needs of users, in order to save and utility, the paper explored anddemonstrated the necessity and feasibility of PROFIBUS technology and DCS of theuranium hydrometallurgy industrial monitoring system. According to the requirements ofmetallurgical plant (control object), a detailed analysis of the functional requirements andthe stability of the whole control system was formed. Ultimately, the automatic monitoringsystem structure, system integration scheme, hardware configuration, softwareconfiguration and system requirements and selection of instrument based on the processfield bus (PROFIBUS) was proposed. Aimed at the uranium mill automation monitoringsystem, analysis and optimal design of this design are formed. The application ofPROFIBUS bus technology in the control system of uranium DCS, abandons thetraditional shortcomings such as complex structure and range lines. In addition, it has theadvantages of low cost, simple structure, easy maintenance and low operation cost. Theproduction process of uranium is more economical and efficient, data collection,processing and control in the uranium hydrometallurgy process assigned to each controlnode microprocessor, which can greatly simplify the control network, optimal controlequipment, reduce the complexity of system control, improve the data accuracy rate, andenhance the stability of control system. The design of the study can provide valuablereference for design of automatic control system of the same type of uranium mill.
