Research On Remote Control System Of Street Lamp Based On GSM Model

Nowadays, with the rapid development of electronic technology, a variety of automatedequipment has been gradually liberating humanity from the heavy manual labor. The main drivingforce is the rapid development of various technologies of micro MCU, wireless terminalequipment. They significantly improved the ability of human being to capture and control remoteinformation. The management of streetlight in the city is a typical example for intelligent controlderived from manual scheduling. How to control the streetlight, each city has its own dispatchcenter and solution because different cities have different streetlight distribution, operationsituations and demands, so each city requires its own streetlight solution.The research of this thesis is to study and design a remote control system of street lamp ofGSM-based mobile phone module to control streetlight and get information from streetlights. Themain idea is to send and receive message using GSM module to do communication and usingGSM mobile phone module to establish a radio channel. MCU is a central controller that used tocontrol the phone module that can be receive and execute messages and to supplement peripheralpower supply module. The combination of them is a wireless smart remote control system ofstreet lamp. The remote control system of street lamp can be set up easily and has many obviousadvantages compared to wired controller. In addition, the management and control of remotecontrol system of street lamp based on GSM mobile phone module is simpler and much moreconvenient, that makes the system scheduling management from manual to intelligence and alsoincreases modern management level of city.The achievements of the thesis are as following:(1) Deeply analyzed and studied some related technologies of remote control system of streetlamp; Proposed a remote control system of street lamp architecture based on the GSM mobilephone module; Given out a plan consists of hardware and software parts.(2) Designed and implemented hardware and software control modules of the remote controlsystem of street lamp; transplanted the GSM radio module into a LPC2138MCU controller andimplemented hardware drivers and the client command response.(3) Found out a most appropriate switch control algorithm of remote control system of street lamp,implemented the remote control system of street lamp and completed the system performancetesting.The achievements of the thesis has a good certain reference value for future researcher on remote control system of street lamp.
