As one of the3G Standards developed by ITU, TD-SCDMA gets a rapid development inrecent years,people live more convenient with the help of mobile communication technology.However, the growth of uesr and business number may bring pressure on the telecomoperator, which can not cover the radio network everwhere. Femto is a mini basestation usedindoor, it’s considered excellent solution to the problem of radio network coverage because ofits great advantages: low cost, simple structure and easy to setup. How to uesd Femtotechnology on TD-SCDMA system, become a hot issue to the telecom operator andtelecom-equipment manufacturers.The subject of this dissertation is base on the project which develop a TD-Femto System,including the hardware and software design on HNB and HNB-GW. The subject is mainlyworking on the Connection Management Module in HNB.Firstly, the TD-SCDMA standard and Femto system are introduced in the dissertationsimply, which the TD-Femto system is based on. Secondly, the dissertation focus on theanalysis of the Connection Management Module in HNB, by introducing its mainly signalingprocedure. According to theresults of analysis,requirement ofConnection ManagementModulein software design is put forward. Thirdly, discussion about designing the structure ofConnection Management Module is taken, and it comes out with two schemes which are baseon HNB in Office Class and HNB in Family Class. Then the use cases of RRC ConnectionSetup Procedures are achieved with the Family Class-HNB scheme. Finally, the subject isproved to achieve the purpose by analysing the results of testing in three stages.
