The technology of computer aided design (CAD) application is divided into the mechanical CAD stage and the electrical CAD (ECAD) stage to the professional electrical design field. The early stage of development, with mechanical CAD, the main use of the engineer is mechanical drafting function of CAD, compared with the manual board drawing, the mean improves the efficiency of drawing. Electrical design consists of two parts in mechanical design and electrical design, In the general environment of mechanical CAD electric logic connection, unable to identify and collect statistics, still need manual operation, so the design efficiency and quality is not high. Later, according to the professional characteristics of complete electrical design, based on CAD technology, a series of professional ECAD aided design software such as EPlan, AutoCAD Electrical, SuperWorks, is gradually mature, and the application in the electrical design has become more and more widespread, aided design means has changed from the traditional mechanical CAD drawing development, transition to the professional ECAD assisted design stage.Because the complete electrical design process is mechanical and electrical integration, at present, ECAD software was developed on the basis of commercial mechanical CAD software, on one hand, ECAD retains mechanical CAD design function, in order to achieve the requirement of the mechanical design, on the other hand, through developing based on the CAD, realize the electrical design function. Due to mechanical CAD platform differences, and differences in the geometric kernel of different CAD platforms, therefore, there are the two problems of this kind of commercial ECAD software:platform compatibility difficulties and drawings.In order to solve the above problem, this study attempts to analyze the design process of complete electrical system. Using object-oriented technology, the goal is to develop the software framework which does not depend on the CAD platform and adopts openelectrical symbols library. Finally, the second principle electrical design related functions were realized in the framework, through this way to validate the feasibility of this framework.
