The plate waveguide slot antenna which is divided into waveguide slot antenna and microstrip gap, has a wide range of applications, and the antenna currently is a hot research field. In particular waveguide slot antenna, because of its caliber in-field amplitude distribution is easy to control, caliber face high utilization, small size, easy to implement low sidelobe and many other advantages,there are many applications in all kinds of ground, naval, ammunition, navigation, meteorology and so on radar systems.The subject comes from Xi’an Hengda microwave technology development company research project. This paper studied the ideal rectangular waveguide slot antenna radiation mechanism, basic form and its equivalent circuit. Moreover, the overall design method about Planar slot antenna based on the CST software is given. Based on specific indicators related research project requirements, the whole tablet is put into two linear array slot antenna to azimuth and elevation. Moreover, azimuth and elevation surfaces are calculated using the Taylor synthesis method gap conductance distribution. In this paper, the simulation and optimization are taken with the CST electromagnetic simulation software to meet the requirements of low sidelobe pattern and narrow beam; the CST software is used to determine the case of the antenna mutual coupling active impedance (or admittance); what’s more, the tablet X-band slot antenna design of the project’s requirement is completed.
