With the development of the technology, Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) with good performance characteristic and a great deal of merits has become the perfect core instrument for new generation inertial navigation system by degrees. Path length stability is the basic requirement to a RLG. The stable, reliable and speedy transmission by execute component provides an effective method to enhance RLG’s precision in practice.In Practical research and development project of RLG, we usually demand light intensity data real-time and do the data-processing for the complex function. So we need a high-reliable system which can realize data acquisition and processing in the extreme. The traditional data acquisition and processing technology based on the computer’s universal bus such as PCI bus can not satisfy the growing speed of data-acquisition due to the limit of the band width of the bus. This article describes the factors which effect the frequency stabilization of RLG, introduces the common measure of frequency stabilization, and analyses advantages and disadvantages of these methods. It introduces a design and implementation method of data acquisition and processing system based on USB2.0and the chip LPC2368.This paper introduces the information about the USB protocol, organizational configuration,data stream model, types and so forth. Combine to the data acquisition device based on USB bus. It recommends operational principle, design principle and design method of WDM driver, discuss application design and USB driver use. It also put forward a driver precept to implement the transference of USB bulk, introduced the routines every functional module. It describes a design scheme of data-acquisition and data-processing system based on USB2.0in which there are two parts:hardware design and software design. It has steady function, reliable transmission. It has already been applied to data acquisition device. The testing results of the system function has been proved that the data transmission procedure coming to the design request. The detailed instruction for the design procedure of the driver program is useful for design of special USB device driver in practice.
