Manual labour is being replaced by mechanized tool in agriculturalproduction. In the21st century, precision agriculture and agriculture intelligentinformation technology have got a great achievement, which have beenincorporated in Nation863Plan during the Eleventh Five-Year. Application ofmeasurement technique and control device caters to the need of national policy,which also can save the labor and lower the production risk of farmers.A kind of design of monitoring system for agricultural production has beenpresented in the paper. The system is applied to production of pregermination ofrice seed before spring plowing. Depend on theory of agriculture of rice seedpregermination, manufacturing technique of rice sprout is made and themonitoring system is designed for realized the manufacturing technique.Kingview software is used to design the monitoring interface for supervising theoperation of field apparatuses. Master Controller is designed as the master ofapparatuses. Through the connection with Master Controller, host computer cancontrol the apparatuses in the field. Embedded operating system is used in MasterController to realize the functions such as man-machine interface, on-off outputand input, communication with host computer. Cell Controller is the third part ofsystem used to detect and control the temperature of water case. New type8bitMCU (Micro Control Unit) product by STMicroelectronics is applied to designthe circuit of Cell Controller, the circuit can realize temperature data collection,on-off output and communication with host computer.The devices of system are connected with bus network and communicatethrough MODBUS protocol. Through the bus network, system can adjust the device work mode to accomplish environmental control and rice sproutproduction.
