In our daily life and in the field of industrial control,we often need a data transmission system totransmit information, which doesn’t require high in distance. Usually a few hundred meters can meetour needs; sometimes even dozens of meters is OK. This kind of system belongs to the category ofshort distance communication.Among the short distance communication, the wired network technology has been quite mature. Ithas been widely used in our daily life. Also it provides great conveniences for our life. However, thereare some limitations: the use of wired network requires complex wiring; also the cables will emergequestions after a long time, like aging.Compared to the wired network, wireless network has great potentials. With the rapiddevelopment of electronic technology and communication technology, wireless communicationtechnology has become more and more mature. Now, we can use it and control it. What’s more, thewireless communication technology aims to realize the goal of “using network everywhere”.Within the scope of short distance communication, wireless communication technology is used asthe transmission mode of date. Within the scope of wireless short distance communications, we oftenneed such a system in which one host communicates with more than one slave, in other words, awireless communication system from a point to multipoint. The host is used as a center for controllingand processing. Its duty is to send control commands to slaves, to receive data from slaves and toprocess the data for next step. Meanwhile, the responsibility of slaves is to collect data and transmitthem to the host or stop working based on the control commands from the host. As this system asks fora two-way communication, both the host and the slaves are required to send and receive data. What’smore, the slaves need to make coordination work to avoid conflicts and interferences of date.According to this kind of demands, a star wireless communication system from one point to multipointis designed based on si4432. It has some advantages like flexible network, efficient performance,dispersion and so on. Meanwhile it solves some problems like date packet dropout, noise or co-channelinterference in wireless communication system. In the system, the hopping mechanism is added toimprove the performance of anti-interference; while CSMA/CA mechanism is added to avoid theconflict between each slave. In this way, the system’s accuracy, real-time performance, reliability aregreatly improve. What’s more, this system is composed of the single-chip microcomputer, thewireless host module and the wireless sub-module and so on; so it has merits like low cost, simpleimplementation.
