The original campus network has been unable to meet the daily needs of teachersand students, so it’s necessary to upgrade the campus network. eg: The structure ofhomepage can’t dynamically change and single, applications are numerous and can’tbe customized, repeated authentication when across applications, differentdevelopment techniques lead to maintenance difficulties. Such factors affecting theefficiency.To solve the above problems, the school decided to upgrade the campus network.Portal as a platform to show new information, compared to the existing campusnetwork in message customized and information show and user management andapplication extension and post-maintenance etc. has been greatly improved. Finally,we select the Liferay as the basis of portal in the end. Achieve the original system toa portal is still not enough and more needs unified authentication to implement singlesign-on,which we chose open source CAS project to implement. We choose DSEEdirectory server to maintenance all user rather than database such as oracle.Ultimately, Liferay+CAS+LDAP integration to complete the portal construction.User login in the Liferay system through the authentication of CAS,while theuser data from the DSEE. Simultaneously, Liferay will keep the data synchronizionwith DSEE server. User maintenance carried out only for DSEE. Other applicationsof the campus network to show unity by Liferay. Users can freely jump betweendifferent applications after login in. This is the operational flow of the entireapplication system.During the development process the CAS customization and the structure designof DSEE directory is important and portlet development under Liferay is important either. The original system will be displayed in the form of portlet on the Liferayplatform, and use the familiar SSH2framework to develop portlet. Individualscompleted the analysis of the demand for portal, and completed Liferay+CAS+LDAP integration and some application development on Liferay platform, andinitially implemented the upgrade of portal. Liferay achieve a showcase ofinformation, and provide personalized customization features, the user can customizetheir own page by different roles. Liferay integration the feature unified identityauthentication of CAS, and keep pace with LDAP’s user data. By operating LDAP tochange Liferay user data in the database.The campus portal implemented by Liferay as the only visit entrance, willfacilitate the users to use, improve work efficiency...
