Metaphor has been studied and theorized for a long history of over two thousand years. It can be traced back to Aristotle in ancient Greece, who treated metaphor as a rhetorical and stylistic device only used to enrich poetic and literary writings. Since the publication of Metaphors We Live By in1980s, Lakoff and Johnson have opened an epoch-making cognitive approach to metaphor studies. Recently, scholars have begun to work harder so to find that metaphor is not only a form of speaking, but also a mode of thinking, casting much light on what can be understood as a cultural perspective of metaphor studies. The study On Patterns Of Metaphor In The Campus Network is not only an expression of Campus metaphor, but also a theoretical modeling of Campus ontology in the discourse of modern humanities and arts disciplinary. Therefore, it requires a new theoretical remaking for the campus ontology, which is based on the characteristics of campus through seeking of the new theory.Thinking the Campus as’a physical campus map’,’cultural icon idea’and ’realistic campus analogy’, the paper explains that the reality of Campus is derived from campus, is far higher than the status of campus, is practical extension of campus space and time Nobu.Metaphor is the origin of the human mind. As literal concept or portrayal of the expression, metaphor is indispensable way to exchange of information and express themselves for human. Campus network as a product of modern technology, the metaphor in its creation and application have a negligible effect. In short, the development of the campus network can not be ignored, we should seize the opportunities, We really should integrated the campus network and campus by analyzing metaphor to the develop school culture.
