Vehicle wireless sensor network is a new wireless network. It is configured with the wireless sensor nodes on the vehicle, which have the ability to receive, perceive and forward a packet. With the development of the economy in our country, it is popular for people to go somewhere by car, especially in the large cities. The number of vehicles owned by residents is in rapid growth, when there are traffic congestion and management issues in many cities. It has been very hot to research the rational distribution of the vehicles with the communication of nodes. There may be network communication burden, a large number of duplicate and redundant information in the vehicle wireless sensor network. In this paper, we do an in-depth study on the multicast key technology in vehicle wireless sensor network. This paper involves the question that how to disseminate information on low-traffic transportation in the vehicle wireless sensor networks. The main contributions of this paper are as follows.(1)A directional antenna model and a evaluation model of the communication in the vehicle wireless sensor network were proposed. Drawing on ideas of directed diffusion technology to solve network congestion and improve system efficiency, we design a directional antenna to directionally receive and forward packets in the physical layer, realizing in NS2. And based on relevant traffic flow characteristics, a evaluation model of the communication in the vehicle wireless sensor network.(2)A vehicle wireless sensor network low-flow multicast protocol was proposed. There is a characteristic which is the universality needs of traffic information and the back cars need the front cars’information. A directional multicast scheme based on directional antenna is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can be achieve a smaller packet flow of the spread in the same conditions.(3)A vehicle multicast routing protocols simulation platform was proposed. And we realized it in the NS2. These multicast protocols included LEACH and MAODV.
