Research On Personalized E-book Format Can Be Customized

With rapid development of information technology and Popularity of life-long learning theory, paper books has been replaced by e-books. And E-books has become the main way of spread and continuation of human wisdom. The advent of e-books completely changed the traditional reading habits. With the rapid development of e-books, the question is how to meet the individual needs and customization requirements of the reader. For the question, the paradigm shift from fixed content form to personalized content model has become a trend. The purpose is to conform to the requirements of the development of personalized learning and innovative learning. At the same time, there have been numerous teaching systems and platforms for Individualized teaching. Although they basically used for classroom teaching, examination and management services. But their ideas and experience is still provides a reference for the process of advancing personalized experience with e-book.The core of reading personalized e-books is attention to the reader’s dominant position in the reading activities. The purpose is meeting reader’s individual needs and content’s timeliness. However, the existing e-book reading software only pay attention to the needs of the aesthetic aspects of the user experience. They ignore the needs of reading content of reader. Internet is a double-edged sword. It brought freedom to readers to choose the content, but although gives readers a big trouble to exclude non-essential reading resources.In this paper, the purpose is to solve the above problems and the current lack of existing e-book format. I designed and implemented "The personalized customizable e-book format" which based on comprehensive analysis the individualized reading and book reading, personalized service, the reader analyzes, and other related resources push mechanism.The format could combines intelligent push reading resources and the individual needs of the reader. It could provide a personalized reading atmosphere for readers.On the structural arrangements, this paper analyzes the related theories of information environment and personalized e-book reading. It including the theoretical basis of individualized reading, the overview of theory of personalized and customized e-books, the push mechanism of personalized reading, the reader-centric content organization, the construction of e-book model and the strategy design. On this basis, I detailed analysis and design the e-book format, the client and server side for the needs of personalized and customized e-books. Then I analyze the specific implementation process base on the technical basis of the format. And I introduced the core functions and key technologies comprehensively. Finally, I arranged the follow-up work for the study and proposed the direction of improve of theory and practice parallely.
