With the rapid progress of computer science and technology, software system as the soul of computer science, plays an increasingly important role in the national economy and social life. With the reliance on software in all areas of social life increasing, the expectations get more and more high. The software quality, performance, reliability is gradually becoming the focus of attention. Software testing is the most effective means to exclude and prevent software defects and failures. Good test design can maximize the detection of defects in the software products, help the developers improve the design and reduce the cost of maintenance and modify in the later stages.This paper focuses on test design and implementation of the key points of Shanghai Public Security Comprehensive Information Training Platform. The paper first introduces the project background and development process, analyzes the characteristics of the Platform, designs targeted testing program. Then providing an overview of software testing, we compare and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of practical test model to select an appropriate test model for the Public Security Platform.Aiming the online examination function of Public Security Platform, we design a scheme of WEB performance testing. Comparing and analyzing of the WEB performance test tool, we select the most suitable testing tool--LoadRunner. According to the performance indicators of the system, we make the performance test program. Load test is carried out and system configuration would be optimized according to the test data, in order to improve the performance of the designed system.Finally, we analyze the problems and deficiencies of this test work, summarize the experience and give suggestions for improvements.
