Design And Implementation Of Airplay Server Application Based On Android

This dissertation mainly studies how to share the multimedia files like picture, video and audio etc. which are stored in the IOS devices or from the content providers in the internet to the large screen device (Android TV) with only one-key.In2011, Apple Corp released Airplay function to their products, which allows users to use iPhone, iPod and iPad etc. IOSdevices through one-keyway to share the multimedia files in the device to Apple TV to watch, the smallscreen contents transport to the big screenthat give users a good experience. However, Airplay protocol is a private protocol, which belongs the Apple Corp. It’s not able to let the users to share the contents in the IOS on Android TV. But good news is Apple Corp said they would share the protocol with the third parties right now. It makes it possible to interaction between IOS devices and Android Smart TV.So this dissertation mainly describes how to fulfill the basic function of Airplay Server in the Android System. The functions includes IOS sends the share request to Airplay Server to share the contents of music, image and video; Airplay Server received and handle the sharing request, after data processing progress, Airplay Server will show the share contents.Users can control the play process with IOS device.Airplay protocol not only makes the multimedia contents from the small screen to the large one to play, but also realize the cross-platform sharing contents.
