With the change of the social networks for people’s way of communication, socialdevelopment trend has affected the traditional way of office. Under this situation, how to seeknew development, improve user viscosity, is one of the problems need to be addressed bydesktop office software. At present, online office software with its convenient cloud storage,sharing, communication, coordination and other services has attracted a large number of users.At the same time, desktop office software has strong function and stable characteristics, butlacking of online office software’s service consciousness. Considering the social property ofthe user, the socialization of desktop office software does not only adapt to the online officesoftware development trend but also to provide better service for the users.Firstly, this paper analyzed the opportunities and challenges that desktop office softwaredevelopment is facing. With the Triandis model and user research methods, this paper hasstudied and analyzed the factors which affected the social sharing behavior such as socialfactors, affect, perceived consequences, habit and facilitating conditions,and summarized theoffice software social sharing behavior model. On this basis, this paper also constructed theoffice software social sharing service framework. By creating share objects, encouragingusers to interact, analyzing transmission mode of share object and sharing chain, eventuallyformed the office software social sharing process.In the end, this paper applied the office software social sharing service framework andprocess in office software Apache Open Office (AOO) social sharing service which is namedAOO social. Through analyzing user information, establishing user role to extract userdemand and AOO Social’s main service module and information architecture, and thenaccomplished the design. It proved the design method is practical and valuable through theactual case of office software social sharing design.This paper involved user sharing behavior research, user demand research andinteraction design. The achievements of the research can provide certain reference value forthe design method of the desktop office software social sharing as well as new developmentdirection of it.
