In the recent years, along with the rapid development of satellite and computertechnology, the information of processing capabilities have become increasinglydemanding. The data collection and analysis system, usually combine with the hardwareand software technology to get the high capacity data information. This paper is based onthe signal collection and processing obtained from the antenna test systems to develop anantenna signal acquisition system, which involves the applications of single chip andvirtual instrument technology.This topic using GPS receiver to complete the satellite data receiving, collecting theinformation based on the signal chip, graphical programming the virtual environmentLabview8.1to design a display interface consisting the data collection and analysis for thedevelopment of tools.The topic of the hardware system introduced the basic principles of GPS technologyand the related technologies, it selects SIRF2e/LP chip as GPS data receiver, ATmega128microcontroller to collecting the information and using RS-232serial interfacetransmission. The level conversion between microcontroller and PC host is completed byMAX232chip.In the design of antenna signal acquisition system software, It is introduces methodof single chip microcomputer serial communication in the transmission process ofinformation and setting of serial communication in the LabVIEW, realized the function ofantenna signal processing and control.
