Android-based Desktop System For The Olds

With the development of society, the aging process of China is becoming faster, The vast mojority of desktop system of mobile phone on market are suitable for young people, but for the olds, which is a special group, feel hard to use the smart phone. Their mobile desktop need more sound system design, more comprehensive and real-time monitoring, more convenient and intelligent communication. Among all the smart phone manufactures, only XiaoMi company designed a smart mobile desktop for the olds, but for the vast chinese elderly population, a single set of desktop system can not meet the needs. This paper based on android, a current mainstream smart mobile system, discuss and develop a desktop system for the olds.This paper introduces the framework and some key compoment on android, take a deep analysis and research on asynchronous update and the usage of widget, meanwhile take a deep analysis of user’s need and functional design both client and server, particularly introduce every function of this desktop system, for example the server url configuration, client lock screen design, client contacts design, client sms design, home page design, and the communication mechanism between client and server.This paper designed and implemented desktop system for the olds have reached good result from the function or performance, this system will be used in the near future. I finished all the work by myself from requirements analysis, summary design, detailed design and coding.This paper introduce a design and develop procedure of android-based desktop system for the the olds, i hope this paper can provide some new ideas for company when developing mobile devices or software for the olds.
