The proportion of the hot zone and indoor cellular traffic share of total system flow is gradually increased, providing high-quality high-speed wireless network services has become very important for the scene. It is exacerbated by the users of the indoor coverage quality urgent requirement for the sake of large numbers of mobile applications based on high-speed data services. Small Cell is a series of operator-controlled, low-power access nodes collectively, with a small size, easy to deploy, low operating cost, and is a self-organizing networkWith further increase of the intensity of LTE deployments, Small Cell deployment density inevitably increases, the complexity of inter-cell interference environment, need to be improved. Firstly, research and analysis of densely deployed challenges facing Small Cell is described, covering aspects such as interference environment, energy consumption and self-organizing networks. Based on this, we propose a Small Cell power adaptive self-optimization approach that will convert Small Cell interference problems to a system’s coverage problems, targeting coverage and energy consumption optimization. Algorithm combined the non-cooperative game theory and sleep mode according to the distribution of the UEs, after Nash game algorithm reaches equilibrium, utility value is calculated for each cell according to the designed utility function, and if a cell has a low utility and the surrounding base stations allows, the users will be handed off to the adjacent cells, the cell itself goes to sleep mode. Simulation results in Matlab show that the algorithm has good convergence and about8-12iterations to reach the Nash equilibrium, and the energy efficiency of the overall system has been improved in sleep mode.In summary, this approach has a good fit on the SON characteristics of LTE Small Cell networks. Conducting power control from coverage and energy efficiency aspects, interference between Small Cells has been well controlled.
